Keli Calegari – Head Chocolatier/Owner
Born and raised in Brazil, I was introduced to the Cacao plant at an early age and during my adolescence was taken under the wing of a family friend who owned one of the regions most famous Truffarias (Artisan Chocolate co-op). Her shop specialty was hand dipped chocolate truffles using only natural ingredients from the region and traditional techniques. After moving to the US 17 years ago, I fell in and out of careers, but my ultimate dream was always to carry on the traditions I had learned in Brazil. With the backing of my partner, this dream was finally realized in 2012 when Deiros Artisan Chocolate was formed.
